Village Photography - Newcastle Portrait Photographer
Well, as 2016 grows to a close, we have been looking back through some of this year’s children’s, pet & family portraits, and we just couldn’t resist sharing with you some of our favourite shots and poses from the past twelve months.
2016 has been a great year for Village Photography. We have successfully completed more portraits sessions then we did in 2015, and fingers crossed our success will continue into next year too.
We always try to go for casual & relaxed family portraits think I managed it here !
There are many reasons why you may want family portraits. Maybe your children are about to flee the nest. A family portrait of all of you together is a great way of keeping them at home forever.
Wendy & Steve with their triplets who have all now left home.
Portraits of couples have been popular this year and its great that we have been able to work with a few couples.
Sheila & Derek, wanted a nice relaxed shoot so they could give their 4 children a portrait of themselves for Christmas, and we captured them just right, Sheila with her glasses on her head and Derek with his cap on, natural as ever.
As the owner of Zeb, a 12 year old black lab, I am well used to being around pets, but creating a fantastic pet portrait requires the skill to speculate what he or she may do next, and the best dog portraits often come down to split second timing, you either get the photograph or you miss it. I love the cuddles and kisses!
Black & White, & Sepia
These days’ black & white, and Sepia portraits are really very popular. Due to the digital age we live in we are only restricted by our imagination!
Cute Petz Competiton 2016
Cute Petz 2016 competition was a huge success with over 35 pets taken part, as the owner of Zeb a 12 year old black lab myself, I especially loved all the cuddles and kisses. There was a few challenging shoots and a few little accidents but we got there in the end and had a great competition.
As the judges couldn’t choose we had 4 winners with 2 little cuties Max & Aspen being overall winers followed by Rose and then Joint 3rd Braken & Kilo.
The fairies took over our studio for the first time in June, then they returned In July, then again in September and then finally in October. We had an absolutely fantastic time with all the little fairies and elves who visited us to help us look for the missing fairies – they once again returning in February and already we have 2 days very close to being fully booked.
Frozen Fairies & Elves Winter Wonderland
For the very first time December saw us launch our Frozen Fairies & Elves Winter Wonderland, compete with snow trees, a small lake, and little squirrels our studio looked very Christmassy, and with a mixture of Frozen Themed and Fairy themed poses the 2 day event was a huge success.
We are bringing our Winter Wonderland back for one last time in January, and giving 8 little Fairies or Elves the chance to take part in a free Frozen Fairies & Elves Winter Wonderland shoot. But mam, dad or Grandma needs to enter the competition to be in with the chance of winning first.
